Plot

28-year-old Tsugumi (Shihori Kanjiya) brings about misfortune to those around her. Because of this, she is known as the "Woman of Unhappiness" and people are afraid of her. Her younger sister Sakiko (Masumi Nomura) is about to marry. Tsugumi doesn't want to bring misfortune to her family, so she decides to go to Tokyo. In Tokyo, Tsugumi begins to work at “Anu” which is collaborative work place for young businesspeople or freelancers. Working with all of these positive people who pursue their dreams, Tsugumi begins to try to be happy……..

Plot

Yukio Mitamura (Ikki Sawamura) started a clothing company and the company is now experiencing rapid growth. The company though is a "black company" (Japanese term for an exploitative sweatshop-type company). Yukio places the company's first priority on profits. He drives his employees hard, but he doesn't think what he is doing is bad. To increase profits, Yukio believes more effort is needed. Yukio has never viewed his company is a "black company."

After entrusting his employees with tasks, Yukio becomes to have more free time. At the age of 45, Yukio decides to enroll at a university to study company management. Yukio then meets rookie lecturer Kyoko Akiyama (Meisa Kuroki). Yukio is attracted to Kyoko, but they have arguments frequently because of their different backgrounds and opinions. Yukio looks down on young university students, believing they couldn't get a job at his company. An incident though causes Yukio to interact with the young university students and he begins to become stimulated by them.

While Yukio is studying at the university, powers at his company tries to kick Yukio out. Yukio now knows his company is a black company. A power struggle begins.

Plot

Ango Ishikawa (Shun Oguri) is a detective with smarts and a keen sense of observation. He's in a great physical shape and also highly ambitious. Ango also only focuses on his work and his personal life is pretty much non-existent.

One day, a former police officer is killed by a gun shot. Ango goes to the scene of the crime, but is shot in the head by the killer who is lurking at the crime scene. Ango hovers between life and death. At that time, he thinks to himself "where do people go after they die?" and then "I don't want to die." A miracle then happens. Anglo survives with the bullet still lodged in his head. He goes back to work.

A new murder case takes place. When Ango goes to the crime scene he notices a boy who looks like he is about to cry, but only Ango is able to see the boy. The boy is the one who was killed. Since Ango was shot, he can now see and talk with the dead.
